I cannot believe it is already July! This year is honestly going by so quickly. For todays #mondaymotivation post, I am going to share my yoga journey with you 🙂

First things first, I am not in any way a yogi. This might be weird for you to read since I have done quite a few yoga posts, but I am more of a lifting weights kinda gal 😉 That being said, I do like to stretch and improve my flexibility and balance skills.

 This picture is a ‘progress’ picture showing my progress over a month with this pose. In the first picture I could just get my leg to the 90 degree mark and I was standing on the ground. With a bit of practice of balancing on the BOSU ball and stretching, I can get my leg past the 90 degree mark and balance on the BOSU ball in the second picture! 😀 This was a proud moment for me! But I know I still have quite a long way to go until I look professional, and have a good range of flexibility.

I urge anyone to try balancing on a BOSU ball before or after your workouts. I have been doing this for a couple of months now and it really engages the core and works on control within the body. I usually do a lot of BOSU balance work on my leg days to warm up my hip flexors and engage the muscles before lifting weights.
