MAS (Metabolic Session) Running is interval training. In this workout you run for 15 seconds and rest for 15 seconds, and it lasts 24 minutes.

The running is as follows:

  1. 10 x running at 80% speed
  2. 6 x running at 100% speed
  3. 8 x running at 90% speed
  4. 4 x running at 110% speed
  5. 10 x running at 80% speed
  6. 6 x running at 100% speed
  7. 2 x running at 120% speed

You can choose what your percentage is according to your fitness level and age, but my speeds (kilometers per hour) were 12(80% speed), 15(100% speed), 13.5(90% speed), 16.5(110% speed) and 18(120% speed)

IMG_2236 My friend joined me for the session, and she found it difficult but worth doing 🙂 Interval training is really good to do because it speeds up your metabolism and betters your fitness level!

I recommend this to anyone starting out as a runner. It will ease you into running and you can choose the speeds to run at according to your fitness level 🙂
