Yes, that’s right! Healthy Brownies πŸ˜€ well, as healthy as brownies can get πŸ˜‰ . I have been searching FOREVER to find a “healthy” brownie recipe that is easy to make, and delicious. After the long wait, this is the best recipe I have found so far! I hope you like it as much as I do πŸ˜› The sharpness of the raspberries even out the bitterness and sweetness of the chocolate mixture. They are perfect to bake when you are having friends over who are health conscious, or when you are craving something yummy, like cake πŸ™‚

Ingredients:

1/2 cup raspberries (frozen)

2 eggs

1/2 cup maple syrup

1/4 tsp almond extract

1 tsp vanilla extract

3/4 cup cocoa powder

1/4 tsp salt

1/4 tsp baking powder

3/4 cup stone ground/whole wheat flower

2 tbsp coconut oil

1/4 cup greek yogurt

1 3/4 tsp milk

Method:

First pre-heat the oven to 180 degrees celsius, then mix all the wet ingredients together on one bowl, and sift the dry ingredients together in a separate bowl. Add the wet ingredients to the dry and mix until smooth. Add in the frozen raspberries and mix together. Place the mixture in a lined baking tray and bake for 15 – 20 minutes. (check the centre of the brownies to make sure that it is gooey, but not too sloppy, otherwise they won’t hold their shape when you slice them up) After the brownies have cooled, you can decorate them by melting some chocolate and pouring it over the brownies, or just leave them as is πŸ™‚
